The Ivan Chew Loop is so hypnotic, it just draws you in. With the textures that you’ve added, also with Lisa vocals, BEAUTIFUL.

Thanks! I was quite concerned about not ruining the original track with my addition, so I’m really pleased you got it. Thanks. |

Hey man,
I had written on a Loveshadow mix that he was my 300th review and was my last review of the year. I’ve uploaded a mix today and I’d normally do a round of reviewing 20 or so tracks, catching up on the latest submitted mixes but in line with my words to Loveshadow, I’d resist. Up until your mix. Seems I’ll not be leaving 2008 with 300 reviews. Just couldn’t pass up your mix. I love it. It has everything i love to (attempt to) incorporate into my mixes… ambience, melody and a resulting track that invokes emotions and thought provocation. You should also note that my playlist is VERY short as I only put the very best tracks on there. In my entire 1+ year on the mixter, i have about 6 tracks. Yours in now in my list. A brilliant piece… Congrats. |

A brilliant piece… Congrats. Well, that’s just about the best possible comment a guy could get - I can’t thank you enough for that. However, this really is a Teru track - he did all of the hard work for the instrumentals in his version, and I just pieced it together with the new vocals - so the credit should go to him and Lisa. Thanks again for your review - very much appreciated. |

Thanks for that! The first half is pretty much teru’s original with the new vocals; and then I added a few elements in the second half to give it some variation for the extended portion. Thanks for stopping by to leave a comment - much appreciated. |

I already dropped a review when Teru track came out, he did a great job and the three sources of his track were already high class by themselves. I can clearly see your work here in the second half, which is brilliant, resembles minimalist influences, with underlying enchanting bass rythm, and interlocking chants in a dreamy flow. This track raises the bar further above, so that we wonder “who’s next then??” |

Simply beautiful. Man, I’m sorry. I was going for wound up and stressed out. :) Thanks though. It was a lot of fun treating the vocals as an instrument rather than a fixed recording, and it really opened up completely new opportunities with the pella. Thanks for your comment. Glad you liked. |

Hahah - yes, this track followed quite a circuitous route. :) You know - that would make for a great ccmixter project - to have a few people involved and just take turns remixing the previous track. Would be interesting to see where it would end up after a few iterations. :) |
