Really clotted and dense- in a good way! You have a nice way with playing with sonic density… I forgive you for that brain-staining reference you made in another review, (heh). With such a very realized track as this- nice vision, no apologies necessary in the description!

Thanks - I was really concerned about the effect because it’s applied on the entire output, and I was using headphones, and I was getting tired … you know how it gets. :)

Thanks for your comment.

Oh, and re: that other musical reference - there was a time in Stockholm you couldn’t go anywhere without being blasted with that track.
Scarred an entire generation, it did.

Colab, this is REALLY beautiful. It’s so dense with rich and warm sound. To be honest I never would have caught on that you used part of my track. The atmospherics, efx and Gunne’s voice take me off to another universe. Superb work!

Thanks! It really means a lot to me to get your review - thanks.

You might not be able to hear it immediately, but trust me when I say the track wouldn’t work without the backing pad/loop sounds - it’s such an organic base to build on that the rest came simply.

Thanks again, and hope you find the time sometime soon to upload another track here. It shouldn’t be a secret that I really admire your style of music.

Thanks - I appreciate it. :)

Re: length - I spent a couple of hours last night trying to change this up a bit by adding instruments, etc., with the idea of extending it - but ended up chucking it all away because it didn’t actually contribute anything new.

So I suppose I gave it a shot and failed. :) Thanks for your comment.

One of the things i have said for a long time about making music is the ability anyone has to make anything in any style if you have some musical understanding. The musical snobbery that exists in genres does not in someone who truly loves making music.

There are tracks that work and there are tracks that dont. How ever what has to do with person who made it ? It just happens to be the work done with the colours on the pallette at that particular time.

Any tune that has a the shades of Lasswell in it has a good beggining, and this works really nicely for me.

Thanks LS. I agree re: the snobbery of genres - it’s easy enough for myself to slip into every now and then - and something that can be very limiting. Still, there it is.

Glad you liked this one, and I agree with your comments about Lasswell. Can’t really go wrong starting out with a Lasswell sound. :)

It has your hand draw but it sounds though like a new area. This bling synth sound is the salt and pepper in here. Love how decent you mixed the drums and handled the filter fx sounds. That_s tasty chill-ambient-lounge and worth enough to be played in radio or put on a club sampler.

This is very very good my friend!

But now I have to listen what you made of the original pella as I can_t remember it now! ;-)

Thanks! I have experimented with filter automation before to differing degrees of success - and I’m glad I found the right balance here.

I think the vocals are critical to hold it together - they are relatively clean from effects and works as a sort of constant “grounding” in the track.

Thanks again!
