I dig this track because: The sounds are great, especially the blippy bass. This sounds like a deephouse/electro track from “Estimulo”, where I heard first time this kind of sound.
I am always attracted from spoken lyrics. Also the build up of the groove is fine. The background pad sounds awesome, even if I could imagine some “sweeter” harmonies here. Now it sounds exciting but also very darkish. But you still know my taste so it_s only me.
To sum it up: very cool stylish track though!!

Hahah - yes, this is probably not the best track to start off a romantic evening with. “Can I offer you a drink to get you in the mood?” :)

Thanks for your comments - I thought I knew your taste, but you surprised me here. Thanks!

A neat set of drones and whirs gives this a foggy Parisian feel. Miel’s voice echoes in the kind of night when footsteps patter off pavement like so many drums. What is heartbreak, if it is not an illbient Paris night? The percussion strides along like a club that refuses to close—a flyweight boxer, nearly put out, but still swinging.

The little metallic strip electronica melody leavens up the piece, languid as a musical saw.
The bass line hints at the Metro, with the sound of train engines on the fringes of the sound.

When does the evening become the dawn? When the clouds are sufficiently deep, it need never be beset by harsh light, but fade into dark dawn in a world in which compassion is found in a streetlight, and solace in the sounds of passing machines overhead. A clever and inventive remix.

Nicely put. I had played around with a version of doing a more upbeat lounge take on this, but somehow her vocals led me somewhere else. Thanks for sharing your reaction to this track.

Oh yes, I like this. I had mentioned RolloSONIC in the forums ages ago, nice to see somebody else put it to use! the vox treatment works very well with cinematic feel of the mix.

It’s an odd tool alright - the output requires a bit of wrestling before it’s really usable.

Unless you’re into Throbbing Gristle, in which case all you need to do is add some screaming on top of it and call it a day. :)

LOL True enough…
Yes, the warning to keep all volumes low at first is well heeded, but I love the tweakability of the module-type setup, and there are a lot of parameters/possibilities to play with (having a tablet helps too)

Very very cool Colab !!!
it has that sexy feel with the choise of vocals(for me at least) with combination of a dark place in the sound of your background!

Me too. Miel’s vocals hooked me from the first moment I heard them. Very evocative stuff. :) Thanks for your comments.

sometimes its not what you put into a track but what you dont,i love this minimalist feel youve acheived here! and that you havnt been tempted to just add this or that to it.for me i think you’ve produced the perfect canvas for the vocal to sit on…excellent choon!should b an ed pick.

Thanks! That’s actually a challenge for me, because I have a history of overdoing tracks - so your feedback is particularly appreciated.

I like this - you never quite know where it’s going, and it doesn’t fit neatly into any particular genre. The contrast of the long slow drones and the more robotic synth rhythms gives a nice suspenseful edge.

Thanks for that - it’s a great thing for me when a track can sit outside of clear boundaries, and still appeal to people. Thanks for your review.

Thanks for this new imaginative rmx.
Yes, it’s cinematic…
At the beginning, there is suspense, fear.
After, with the lyrics, it’s like a self-examination with strange feelings, with pain, loneliness, missing, wish…
Thanks too because you seem to like my voice.

Regards

Thank you very much for your personal response - I really appreicate it. Especially since this is a more unusual interpretation.

It was particularly nice to see your comment yesterday, becuase I was off sick (tres malade) and it helped to lift my mood. :)

Thanks again.

TJ said it best: cool and stylish. Could be a track for a Bond flick. Maybe not romantic, but sexy :-)
