Foreboding sounds bring a kind of thunderstorm into the melody. Eshar’s poem fits here perfectly, and you’ve made the most of it as it enters the mix. The exotica of the percussion and eastern-tinged melody, as well as your own vocals, adds a cool variation to the action. I love the horn—it really gives a great jazz feel to material that is not jazz in a traditional sense. The disparate elements of this song transport the listener not to one world, but several, not to one story, but a melange of tales, meeting at an open market.

Really gifted, enchanted mix, Anchor. Your sense of drama and the moment shows itself at its very best here, and the mix is as a matter of mix-audio a joy to hear.

This cries out desperately to be made into a short film! Singing eshar’s poem is really cool, it suggests the idea that in rebirth, you become something else, which is further suggested by the different tones that Eshar’s voice comes back in.

Haunting and lyrical as only you can do. Beautiful use of the spoken word and I agree with admiralbob about how the song transforms the words, another phoenix rising from…

Luck of the draw. You got someone that seems a natural with your style and sensibilities. An excellent arrangement, great use of the material.

Sonically sailing round the world with captain Anchor. Great concept and execution. And I love it when you break out into Anchor harmonies (but you probably already knew that)!

The air is imbued with exotic scents and glittering with swirls of magic dust. Eshar almost sounds as if she’s working up a spell with her lovely piece of writing and together you have created something gorgeous. Love it. xxxxxx

Anything with Eshar in it immediately has my attention. This is a wonderful treatment of her pella, and a journey around the world in just a few moments. Well done.
