In his kitchen at Belgrave, Mr Mejans added just 3 disparate ingredients to his unsettled cauldron. There were no extra spices to use, the cook had retired for the week without a run to the green grocer. Ms KT would choose the wine, she said it would surprise and invigorate. An aged porto fino would be served post listen.

Here is heart, soul and poetry, electric cello via the avant garde, several ounces of real fahnk from deep in the heart of Ike Turner’s band courtesy of Mr Ray and I forgot to mention that as soon as I can, I am grabbing the obligato from the front, harmonizing it, and using it for a piece on fine dining in London, to which I hope to be invited.

I think there’s always somethin mourneful about the cello, no matter how it is played. So to hear it placed against Billy’s drums is a real treat. Works really well and combined with the girls vox ends up as quite a special bit of work!

I really dig the minimalist stance that you used. It feels honest.

i love your interpretation of this & the fact that there are three instruments…vox+drums+cello…make this perfect for the alchemy of the meaning of the poem. thank-you….lyrics in completed form…
I was told that even the sun & the moon share the sky at dawn
And as I accepted it with a yawn
I heard the rooster cry
Awakened completed by a lie
I could see
The sun slowly rising up
Always ahead of me
Always bringing me mourning
Of days lost
Feeling the end of the nights frost
Realizing it’s existence an eternity
I began to wonder
What the sun was really for
I also found my vision
Becoming poor
As I tried to raise my head
My body felt cold limp dead
Blindnedd overshadowed me
And took me to a place
Where I
The sun
The moon had no face
I could not see or hear
Or feel
A kiss
And then I realized
What the sun did miss
As it gave way its flaming light
Blinding itself from its own sight
I found myself in house
On the moon
Yeah…I found myself then on a house on the moon
Protected by those rays of high noon
And seeing this suspeneded shere of fire fire fire
I could see how it could tire
Burning eternally
Emitting light
No one to give back
Whats lost in the night
How could see
And how could it be free
Of thee and eternal fright
That only evil exists in the night
only evil exists in the night??
For it could be the sun on the moon with me
Where angels need no eyes to see
And the dawn or sunset
Of what should be
I was told that even the sun & the moon share the sky at dawn

was that a rooster?
Am I awake?
Am I complete?
Did you tell a lie?
You see that sun?
It is rising
Ahead of you
But not me
Im on the moon in a house
The days lost & there’s always a nights frost

yeah
I could never see or hear or feel
A kiss
I don’t care what the sun missed
I don’t care if Im by myself on the moon

what a stroke, Anchor! this sounds like an avant garde ensemble that has played together forever & can anticipate each other so well, that there are no mistakes, only forward-fashioned art. the mix is distinct & roomy, & the electric cello never sounded so good. i’m a huge fan of everyone on the track, including Victoria & you should be proud.

Hypnotic. Bill Ray’s drums work magic in any context, and the cello is inspired.

Awesome mix of elements. Electric cello sounds great! Drums keep the track propelling forward but with ever permutating novelty. I’m truly impressed.

The theme reminds me of “Beginnings and endings”! But more upfront and visceral. Great collab. Punching drums and cool vocals.

Nicely done here, Anchor. I simply enjoyed what you’ve done with this one a way. It’s simply divine. :)

Fantastic! Love the combo — a post-punk bebop kind of jam in the downtown dive where we sip exotic liquers and discuss the deepest of our darkest secrets.
