The piano and vocal sit really well together on this and I think you’ve moved more towards Leonard Cohen than Tom Waites in the feel of the song.

You’re vocal is a lot more controlled on this take but nice to see you still got a great note bending bit in towards the end!!

my poor ole’ voice has been badly abused by cavorting with everyone from Bach to Gypsy Canto-Hondos - yet sometimes it falls into a temporary comfort zone. Thanks for the listen and observations.

You see, it’s already perfect as it is, without me messing things up. Which doesn’t mean that such a thing won’t happen in the future. ;-) Funny to hear that you seem to have gone for other arrangement decisions than I did.

I have feeling you are not really capable of messing things up too bad. Regardless, an interpretation is just that - it is your own unique view and response to a personal creative adventure…I’m looking forward to more of your pieces as they surface.

You really have a sound, a world, a personality and a great sensitivity, that i appreciate more and more. I always like when someone “does the difference”…
Really beautiful song…Nice emotion.
Great work..

Fine lyrics filled with sad longing. Definitely feelin’ it. Is that you as a lad, in your pic?

Thanks for listen FPB -
I love sad songs…even though I am not really a sad guy…actually kind of gregarious by nature. Yes - it’s me as a petite sailor dude.

Probably a sad song, but all parts (piano, cello and vocals) express for me something more than only a sad mood. Is it the quintessential spirit you talked about?? Don_t know, never have been in the US. But I think I can see where want to go. Interessting approach on a difficult theme.
The cello is really nice played!

Thanks J
perhaps beyond mere sadness the lyrics are really about freedom…departure from things which bind one to a world that does not permit personal expansion. Thanks for the review and thoughtful comments.

Really nice work, you shouldn’t be reluctant to do more full remixes in the future.

this is epic and very reminiscent of over seas voyages, never-to-be-seen-again immigration and toil. From another time, as I have begun to believe you are:) Very beautiful. I hope you upload the cello bit- it’s gorgeous.

its always nice to hear from you. Thanks for your observations. Though I may not be from another Time, I certainly am a time-traveler…perhaps you have a bit of that in your own soul as well….Hope life is treating you good and I look forward to hearing more of your work soon.
