Very cool, soulfully and funky with great Clarence Wah-Wah guitar sounds and Hammond organ playing (Is that you playing the organ solo?). Excellent!

Hey, thanks man. I’m gonna post all the stems sometime tomorrow. Yea, I played the rhodes, the hammond, and the clav on this one. The bass is Trillian VST.

You do some awesome stuff at bedtime lol. This has some reminisces of Deee-Lite if I remember their name correctly. Nice improvising too . You are a machine for sure. I checked out that Trillian plugin and I was blown away. Thanks for that info :)

ahhh…for once someone else besides Admiral Bob said exactly what I was hearing. I actually didn’t catch it until I was listening after I published. I was like… this sounds like Deee-Lite.

Don’t know if it’s true, but I have a friend that took an art class with her and, allegedly, she once spit in the face of their art teacher.

Totally agree on the Deee-Lite comparison now that you mention it.

Groovy. I might even go so far as to call this Groovalicious. Thanks for including me!

So, I have to ask, who played the guitar parts that aren’t me? Do you have secret guitar skills or are they from some sample library you have?

And yeah, definitely get stems up for this.

Nope, I don’t play guitar and don’t have a proper guitar vst yet, I’ve got Elecri6ity on my wishlist.

So yea, the other guitar snippets are from a funk loop collection, (Funk Allstars)

That’s the only piece I didn’t upload as a stem in isolation. Even though I manipulated them a little bit, chopped it up and arranged, doesn’t seem like fair use to distribute those samples in isolation and freely…gotta buy it!

I even hesitated on the drums and horns, that’s close, but I think those tracks have been manipulated enough and they are overdubbed, so that seems like fair use. I don’t feel like I’m sharing the samples…at this point they are a composition. I read your thing about IP law, that’s something I’ve investigated for a while myself. Matter of fact, I founded a company that had the same exact vision as ccMixter, but I never developed it…moved on to other things. I might still eventually build the site, but it’s not on my list of priorities. I know it seems like I have a lot of time, but I really don’t…lol
