Have you considered posting your pellas without all the effects or overdubs mixed in? I think you’d find your music gets picked up more were you to leave more room for producers to do what they will…. by posting single unaffected tracks. :)

That is so true! I find many of Tylers vocals very high quality and unbeliavable juicy to remix, but I’m afraid I’ll skip most of the processed vocals and get something dry instead.

Thanks for the heads up guys. Just not sure how to go about saving each layer and uploading them in a way that you’d be able to use. When I record a song I record 12 vocal tracks for each part that I sing.. and pan 6 left and 6 right (for each note) so some of my songs have tons of vocal layers. Are you guys asking for them to all be separated and uploaded individually? I fear that could take me days and days per song to do.. I’m willing to give it a go though if that’s what you mean. Or do you still want just one track.. but with absolutely no “effects” added??

I don’t think 12 separate layers are needed.

I’d do it like this:
- one lead track
- one for the each voice group. If you have more harmonies, put them on separate group.

If possible, no effects of any kind.

And if possible, use much higher bitrate (mp3) than 128 (192 and up). Lower bitrates kill the transients and destroy the stereo image if you have stereo files. Use “Lame” encoder for mp3 encoding. Ideally Flac would be the preferred audio format as its exact copy of the original uncompressed file.

So there. Those are just my suggestions for your stuff to be picked up more easily.
