I like the guitar intro. The horn doesn’t quite fit, somehow, although the idea of a horn and guitar is appealing. I like the mellow feel to it, but the vocals don’t sync up with the melody—a bit timing, a bit more pitch, I think, although my ear isn’t always trustworthy on pitch.

I like the idea of this mix a lot—the vocal deserves a softer sound, and I like the acoustic guitar treatment. I like the idea of the horn, but, again, it doesn’t quite work for some reason here.

When she does the “we can still” section, some kind of mismatch really appears.

I enjoy mixes which try to use subtlety and gentleness, as this one does. But the individual elements don’t quite work here.

it’s key issues. If you have an app that makes it easy to isolate and change notes (like ACID or Live) you should experiment until they fit.
