Well done. You call it light entertainment but it still has the depth of truth. I know I’ve said this before but I think it’s a major defining characteristic of human existence - 7 billion people here and every one knows what lonely feels like.

As I said in my email, Per, Wow! This is amazing. You’ve really made something of it. I like your arrangement and the backing track. It made me smile! And your voice is wonderful. Thank you for working with this poem.

knowing you and what you can do vocally & musically to transform a song or poem to the level of transcendent art ranks in my top three antidotes for dispelling the big ‘L’. this piece is a credit to your heart & skill and a credit to deb’s poem.

Loved this from the opening bar. What a beautiful b/t! The turnaround with the words is witty - as you already know, I’m going to be a man next time. I’ve already got the beard and you lot have more fun! This is up to your usual high standard and more, musically and vocally.

great song with a happy catchy rhythm to contrast - you should have mention the the hanging out in vest and underpants for days, oh and the beer can collection

And I felt very sad after listening — I guess that is what real art does though — it makes you feel things. Love the harmonies which are haunting. And of course, the bt is gorgeous.

I second these sentiments..

Captivating song! You found an amazing balance between sublime sadness and a kind of sing-along mood!
The arrangement and sounds are just great!

I said WOW! right from the opening phrase and I was disappointed when it ended so quickly. I could have listened for 10 minutes easily. I was eating frozen berries and cereal at the time of my listen. :)

Delightful. I’m at a bit of a loss of words at the moment… but I’ve listened three times while smiling.+++

Reminds me of America, all the gentle guitar sounds and harmonies. This is full of shimmering gossamer sounds, with both the piano wipes and guitars sounding like harps being plucked, and the percussion tapping out martially behind them.
