You’ve really picked the right Muse, Per. There’s a mysticism in Panu’s poetry and lyrics that is perfectly echoed by your Rick Danko-like vocal tones, and the line you turned into a hook (history of longing.) Add the mystical drawn out bass and piano parts over the complex and steady percussion, and the song is a real winner… drawing the listener in and taking them along an epic odyssey.

Panu and you are a great match Per. Your style is just fantasic. There was a place in NYC that had open mic and bands would come in and play material like this. Not as polished though. I wish I could write like this.

Wonderful. Emotive. Stark enough to focus the listener’s attention onto the words… Yet, enough build and musical intrigue to be a really well-produced, balanced, full piece. I love hearing your voice- so rich and gripping. The harmonies you created for the hook were incredibly lovely. And the combination of you and Panu has win all over it.

First — love the beat/percussion/drum (will this be part of the stems you intend to upload?). But that is easy because that is the initial tease to get you into this song which then takes you deep into a tender space. You have articulated longing musically. Your voice expresses quite a lot here — I just want to give you a hug. Beautiful.

…and I will post all stems. I did this one a while ago and I need to sort out things. Not very good at saving stuff in the right places.

Well, I just only can estimate the great music. Unfortunately my English is to bad too understand the lyrics/poems essentially.
But, nevertheless, this sounds already incredibly good.

Agree with Urmymuse, desolate in a good way. I think the spoken word alongside the sung lyrics works really well.
