This is a great prog rock tune, in the way that I like prog rock: rough and ready. Its well organized, but gritty and earthy. This isn’t Weather Report dressed up as prog rock, it has all the rock elements… wild breakout guitar bits, loosely coupled bass parts, reversed cymbals, virtuoso keyboards, and out there drums.

Lot of fun to listen to, though I find the subject heartbreaking.

Thank you so much, Admiral. I like my prog gritty as well. I’m very taken with the early stuff. The subject matter is heartbreaking; But what am I to do? I am helpless….. I’ll write a song.

Nice work FB! Thank you for using my samples. I wonder, what was your grandfather’s opinion.

Thanks Zapac for the sweet samples and the review. I’ll not be playing this for my grandpa. He is fragile and doesn’t like rock. Esp. my special brand. He’s heard some of my stuff long ago when I was trying to be the 2nd Vangelis, but that’s it. Thanks for reviewing :)

This piece does not dally. It’s almost as if it’s afraid it would cease to exist if it stopped for a breath. Powerful, mesmerizing, heady with heart.

Indeed. It just rushed out the way songs do sometimes. I hope it’s not too slapdash. Thanks for listening :)

Thank you, Deb. My heart is breaking. They’re removing my Grandpa’s support tonight :(

As usual, you have got under my skin, FB. You put no hold on expressing real feelings about real aspects of life that frighten some people. For my part, I believe we might be from the same planet. This track is full of pain and love. I’m sure your Grandpa would appreciate your love for him even if he isn’t a music-lover. It’s always too late, isn’t it? This is unforgettable. I’d recommend if I could. xxxx

Frank Sinatra: “I’ve got you under my skin….” You and I may be from the same planet. What planet that is, I know not. I’d like to get back there as I don’t feel I fit here. It is pain and love. I don’t know what to do but just keep trying. Thank you for the review :)

Ciggi said it so much more eloquently than I can in this moment — but clearly while the message is meant for your grandpa to hear, it is apparent that music provides you with a meaningful way for you to make the message, and work through some of the sadness that is inevitable at this time.

You’re quite right, SackJo22. I’m just working through it in whatever way I can. Music fits the bill. Thanks for listening.

Thanks, Chuck B. Most of my family have no idea what effort I put into art. That’s fine. When it’s my time, they’ll find a trove of work. Thank you for reviewing. My Grandpa died early this morning……. May he rest in peace.
