Cool work..! Rough and straight, another sound which is suitable for her voice. Really like the sounds of the bass and the guitar, a “garage sound” which is missing me sometimes…Aaaah..! to be the drummer of CalendarGirl..:-).

Thanks ditto- this is my garage rock fantasy: calendargirl backed by the babies. Would go over well out here in Oklahoma.

I’d title it “raw gutbucket boogie August”, myself, although you can’t argue against that Nashville sycopation.

Is it my headphones, or is this one red-lining just a tad?

This is a really creative approach. I like the way that you took this an unexpected road down a familiar by-way, achieving something quite different.

The drums don’t fit in the mix right to my ears. I’d like to hear them further up—but it’s dilemma, because I want to hear Calendar Girl’s voice clearly, and the current mix achieves that.

I’ve listened to the first 3:15 and still no guitar solo. You’re going to have turn in your library card at the Whippin’ Post Public Library.

Great bass line at the end.

Needs a guitar solo. A little vocal fx to make them a bit more dynamic in the mix might help.
Also, that bass-only line might be a great intro.

This is a fun mix.

Thanks for the review Gurdonark! Your keen ears are always helpful. You’ve got some good ideas for this. Gonna take another look at it once I finish
some other projects I’m working on.
