Nice foreboding intro—a bit of heavy-production goth goes down smooth. I like the way that you’ve got the vocals set in this, but they could come up a bit and also perhaps a double-track slightly off tempo or some fun delay effects would fit this style.

I like the beats on this one—they fit well with what you’re trying to do. A more roving bass might fit well here.

I like your backing melody. Some freesound samples of industrial or spooky sounding things would add some cool coarseness to this mix.

We don’t get that much goth theatricality here, and it’s fun to hear you give this a goth-inspired treatment. It’s not just “a song”, but an inventive and fun mix.

I love that little instrumental break that begins around 3:20. It’s just right, and then the vocal fx you use here are perfect. I’d like to hear more fx like that on the vocals all through the piece—not the same exact effect, but fx to make the voice fit into this “fictive universe”.

Lovely, this softer section. I almost wonder if you shouldn’t start the intro with a similar pretty sound and then build up to the goth sturm and drang.

I really like the varied pace you introduce. Very, very effective.

The song moves on a goodish bit beyond the old 3 minute stereotype, but it never seems too long. Her voice really fits this style, which is really to say, I suppose, that you’ve crafted music that’s a good fit for the lyrics and vocals.

Around 6:15 might have been a fun time to take a short departure into something heavier again—not quite the full bore of the earlier part, but a bit more variation—maybe just the addition of a single instrument, like a slow snare hit once in each measure.

The vox gets cut off in the extro.

A really fun, good listen. A departure from the workaday mix. I liked this one.

Thank you for the mix and my apologies for not commenting earlier. It’s a really surreal and creepy treatment. I think that Gudonark is right about the latter half…it would have been nice to hear some darkness at the end too.

Great job!
