In your face mix. Damn, this is such an awesome song. Your ending is also very cool… cool beat fade. And, of course, a sentiment I agree with.

Fantastic as always. The dance beats are tight, but never boring or repetitive. A great reworking.

Wow! It sounds sooo good! All that work with layering, filtering and EQ’ing is great!
And that’s what the remix really is!
I love your refix

this is a perfect example of the power of a re-rub. it is interesting that this project has pushed a lot of the mixters to re-rubs. i think this is a major step for us. maybe re-rub isn’t the right word - it seems something beyond re-rub, but along similar lines. (remixing a remix). i guess most of our remixes are much more than a remix has been termed traditionally. we’re redefining music.

this is freakin’ awesome AA. i loved the first version and you’ve taken it somewhere very, very magical.

you’ve widened this track with your dynamics. so many creative changes. this is real art.

i have †o dance when listening. i think i’m embarrassing the guys here at ATM :)

oh, we just got back from the road and listened to Alex’s remix of MIC’s pella at least five times on the way there and back. his track was absolutely my favorite so far in the project. i think this song is HUGE. an anthem for california (hahahah)!

this is a hit. 2nd listen. going back for one more.

Thank you for your kind words, I’d love to see you dance to this :) And I have to say alex creates a lot of songs that can be called a hit.

I’ve been browsing on the net to find out what exactly I created. And of what I can find it’s a re-edit:
a re-edit is an altered version of a recorded song created by repeating, reordering, or removing sections of the original recording.

because we’re taking our remixes to a next level. in my traditional world of mixing, i do a mix, and work on it for weeks until it is right, then master. at ccM, everything happens much faster, and with help from each other. to have someone else take your mix to the next level is pretty cool!

Undeniable groove. Very cool energy. I like this a lot. But… you know that one point about a third the way in where the vocals split channels and get louder? How come they’re not all done like that? Sounds real good there and most of the track they seem a little too low in volume/under emphasized.

You mean the part in the break? It’s an interesting thought.

Yeah, the last part of the break. Coming in loud and clear.

true! it’s amazing and never heard before. Since the track is huge from the start, I also wonder how the hell could you squeeze some more dB from it in that part.

I doubled the vocal. On that part I used a HP filter, mid-range eq boost, a widener and mono delay.

And I left some room for that part when I mixed the other part.
