well i replaced it again. maybe its ok now. i tried to match the notes with the wait/late note in the vocals. im not very good at this kind of thing i dont think.

No worries about whether you’re good at this or not - everyone here was a beginner at some point. :)

The pad melody might not be a terrific fit with the vocals - and furthermore it might not be needed (to my ears at least), since the core groove/pad you’ve created is really good and fits the vocals so well.

Just as an experiment - would you be willing to upload an alternate mix without the pad and let me try something out?

i added what you requested. i replaced the original again also. to my ears i think it sounds better than the last two times with a slight tone shift. well, im satisfied with it this time anyway. and im sick of hearing it in the editor .. i gotta quit while im still liking the song at all yknow?

ok! this time it matches everything even the vocals. i figured out a better way to approach it would be to match the background melody, since you said ‘the core groove/pad is really good and fits’. now when she says silence its the same note & i can tell it sounds a lot better.
