Portsmouth based DJ / Producer Pimpernel Jones has been liberating solid beats around Europe for over 5 years. His whip-crackingly dynamic spinning skills have won him fans and admiration from all areas of the dance world, and has led him to play alongside such divergent characters as Giles Petterson, Rennie Pilgrim, Hexstatic and the Freestylers (to name a few).
In the studio, Pimpernel’s production talents have created hip hop and drum and bass hybrids such as “Pompey Up” - a scratchtastic stomper which has found its way into LTJ Bukem’s record box, as well as being used by merecedez benz for their mixed tape series! The young pimp-meister (24) has released tracks with dirty breaks label Supercharged, b-boy’s favorite Aerosolik, and downtempo label Cookshop.
