Uses samples from:

Tools I Used

Drums: Xfer Records, Nerve

Bass distortion: FabFilter Saturn

Limiter: FabFilter Pro-L
Consoles: Airwindows
Buss emulator: Sonimus Statson
Ducking: Xfer Records LFO Tool
Reverb: Acon Digital CM Verb
Chorus: Acon Digital Multiply
Equalizers: Tokyo Dawn Records Slick EQ

Process

To clean up the low end I removed a lot of unwanted rumble from most instruments.

New York Compression on the vocals and kicks. (Not just totally parallel) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muzh3TBbbIM

Kendra's vocals was recorded very well and I didn’t do much to them. Each verse and chorus is treated differently, different amounts of reverb and chorus effect in each section.
Reverb is Abbey Road style https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lNckK8N3to

A lot of equalising, some compression.

The bass was not coming through so I added harmonic distortion via FabFilters Saturn and some tricks with a transient shaper and compression so it would punch through the mix.

Vocals speeded up from 92BPM to 96. ireweb’s track slowed down from 100BPM to 96. At 100BPM the vocals were sounding rushed and at 92BPM the music sounded too slow so I compromised at 96BPM.

Other Notes

Did not take long to as all the samples were well recorded.

Most time was spent not listening to it, so I could come back with new ears and mix it so it was fresh and jumping.
