Tools I Used

MixCraft. Lots of VST's, but especially Wollo Voyager and Absynth.

Samples I Used

I downloaded or recorded several hours of original transmissions of Apollo-missions. I sliced out the lines I could use, focussing on sounds or reactions by the astronauts expressing amazement during a (supposed) landing on the Moon. I also used the quindar tones, most often referred to as the "beeps" in the original transmissions. The static was added. In the last (2015) remix the voice of Nicole Eiting was added and heavily edited. The quote, by Plato, seemed to match the music and the intentions of the Music For Healing Project of the University of Utah.

Original Samples

except the voices and the beeps u hear every sound in the track was made on my pc

Process

MixCraft 6.

Other Notes

Of all the tracks I have done this is the one coming closest to what Brian Eno meant when he said ''Theory over practice, serendipity over forethought, and texture over craft". Big parts of the track were cut out of a stream of sounds that were recorded on my pc while I was not even in the room. I programmed some VST's to produce and endless stream of soundtextures with some variations. Later I put parts together, adding delays etc. So part of this track created itself.
