Tools I Used

Sawcutter 2.0

Samples I Used

the one listed sample, "temporal chaos"

Process

I first imported the mp3 of temporal chaos into Magix Audio Studio 14.
I sliced it into several parts, and then saved 4 parts as wave files. I then sampled each of the wave files into Sawcutter 2.0, to create four "voices" for the song.
I then sequenced out melodies for the voices. I set the bpm at 65 and then exported it into the Magix studio to convert into mp3s.

Other Notes

I played with a lot of percussion sounds, because the underlying sample had a lot of great noise that lends itself to percussion. Though I liked the contrast of the noise-oriented percussion with the child-like melody, I decided to go with 4 melodic voices instead.

My goal here was to show that you can't think of noise samples as "just noise", but instead as
various melodies, all mixed together, which can be sampled to create new melodies.
