Original Samples
I took 10 seconds of LD `13 and re-imagined it into a 15 minute ambient piece. 3 minutes of that piece were altered for use in this work.
Process
I did a great deal of time-stretching and pitch-shifting to the Neurowaxx and Sleepless samples, as well as cutting them up to leave lots of space in between them. I ran my own C. Reiter sample through the flybaby freeware VST effect to give it heft. I tried to pan the sounds about a bit here and there.
Other Notes
"long Defeat" is a work of guitar ambience recorded in an industrial space. It offers a lot of sounds easily sampled for use in mixes which feature more "industrial ambient" elements.
In this remix, I wanted to marry the more minimal ambience of my source material with a robust set of samples and sounds.
