Music for good ol’ country boy
and low budget orchestra

While making Junkyard uploads for Tube You, I saw Old Junk Car by Panu in my sample library. Thinking to make a junkyard cacophony using junkyard samples and Panu’s tune, I discovered the junk car in the song was a metaphor.

Since I was ready to remix and the Old Junk Car is a great tune, loaded Panu’s pell into Newtone (poor man’s Melodyne), chopped some punchy acoustic guitar, created some bass using midi and SampleTank, and added calypso kick, and reggae snare and hihats. Kept on cutting, pasting, repitching and morphing the parts until I couldn’t figure out what the ol’ country boy was dumping the ocean with his devils lined up so he could get some good lovin’ “:0)
