spoken word over a couple of interlocking guitar tracks.

I did this quick and dirty. It’s basically a short loop with all parts played live. It gradually speeds up from about 128-134BPM

lyrics:

This, this is a song about you.
It’s a song about remembering.
It’s a song..It’s about me sitting here a night needing to have something, anything of my very own.
Something that my heart has created and I can trust because I know we pulse together.
I’ll let down my guard.
and I can leave my blade at the door and be a little more naive.
There I don’t worry about being used as a pawn in some silly game, when all I really desire is to have a little peace.
Well this is it.
This is the best I can do.
I…ha…I can make you dream.
There is nothing more dangerous than that.
Let me tell you, I’ve tried to be careful but urgent. The rest I leave for you and you alone.
Tomorrow I part for the war.
I’ve filled my pouch with song, basil, magic and crow.
I’ll beg you for your innocence.
You’ve been preparing for your whole life.
This is it.
This is the best we can ask.
I’m watching the hope of my youth drift off into the horizon.
You’re now the captain.
Haven’t left you no maps.
but let me tell ya, learn to fish while you can.
The rest I leave for you, you alone.
Even if it’s just one minute a day.
