When I was 17 or so I bought a Roland D-10. It wasn’t the easiest synth to work with as it used a combination of digital snippets for the complex formant parts of the sounds and synthesized waveforms for the simpler ones. It wasn’t great, but I loved it. The reason I loved it was that I could turn it on, turn on my Atari ST and start making music in minutes.
The music wasn’t very memorable, but that isn’t the point. The point is that I made music every day.

So.
