I realize many of you will think Lisa DeBenedictis’ materials have been done to death (75 remixes already!); but I’m new to the ccmixter party and couldn’t resist giving these excellent vocals a shot.

For this one I decided to attempt a more high-energy dance version.
Some of the low-register details will be lost on some headphones - to really get the deep kick I recommend a system with a fat bass.

I’ve used a good amount of low-pass filters and compression on the individual drum tracks, and tried to keep the vocals and a few backing elements relatively crisp to get the contrast between the two.

Used Reason 4 - mix of factory soundbanks and own sounds.
Slightly pitch-shifted vocals to get a higher tone (nope, don’t have ReCycle or Melodyne) - hence the awkward BPM on this track.
