I really like Darkroom’s “Mellow” and wrote some original lyrics for it…added some cello and turned it into an Existential-Lounge Ballad with a dash of Samuel Taylor Coleridge Xanadu funk.

Lyrics:

There was a girl
She was born in the city -
Born again somewhere near New South Wales -
The third time she was born to misdirection -
She had to die to finally find herself…

Birth is just a series of encounters -
In life you go from world to bigger worlds -
So let your names fall from you in the autumn -
As leaves fall from the trees in winds awhirl…

She faded from her future in an instant -
She scratched her name in sands upon the past -
The hourglass turned over in her present -
Her die is cast,
But will the last be last?

Some people talk of travel and adventure -
They gonna’ cross the seas in search of Xanadu -
Their dreams are made of wine and deep dark roses -
Dreams fade away as does the morning dew………..

Dreams fade away as does the morning dew………..
Play
