Johann Pachelbel never went to Paris and nor had I until about 10 years ago. I found Paris a dirty decaying city whose inhabitants treated the English no better than the dirt on Wellingtons boot. They have never really forgiven us for Waterloo. Despite this it is a marvellous place to visit.

Pachelbel was one of the finest organists to come from Germany and it was this occupation that made him one of the most respected musicians in that country. Of course he will always be remembered for his Canon in D major which bookends this mix. It is a wonderful evocative piece that transcends all forms of religion.

Gods despite their great divinity are man made and therefore will always be numerous, fallible and unforgiving in their nature. My god sits on my mixing desk, occasionally nodding his head to the beat but more often as not remaining quiet and reflective

Many thanks to Robert for another great poem and performance
