This is not the verse/chorus pop stuff I usually make.

As everyone knows, America is currently fighting two wars in the Middle East.
This is a musical attempt to illustrate my image of the everyday chaos of a young soldier,
far from home, there.

AIR_LOMEG’s recording from outside a Minaret in Istanbul provded the right Middle Eastern flavour. Snowflake’s painful and beautiful singing,
the right desperation and despair.
So, two singers. One American, one Islamic. Both of them praying for peace in their own respective ways.
I used Onlymeith’s strings to get a cinematic expression, I wanted this to sound more like a film than a song.
Also used a very small portion of Anchor Méjans’ “Joachim” pella that added a little melancholy to the mix.

This is not a political statement, it’s an emotional statement.

PS. There´s a little static distortion on parts of Snowflake’s original pella that I probably have the techical equipment to remove but not the knowledge how to do it (Hello Colab). In this dramatic context, I thought I could get away with it as it was.
