This is, and isn’t a rap. There is a flow to my wording, but I didn’t put on any BPM or try to keep one other than the rhythm of my speech.

There’s a brief “intro” at the beginning then I dig straight into the words. I haven’t mixed this yet, usually all my pellas come out of work, not vice versa.

Meteors upon modern cities

Almost Every religion likes to believe
In a doomsday prophecy of destiny

Destined to be are we humans to be
Tools for the joys of gods to oversee
Bounded by fate like Sisyphus
As if we angered the gods of mount olympus

Silly is the idea that we are held
to an abstract numerological hell
Gregorian calendars with Babylonian signs
Every culture’s a mix of another how sublime!

So destined is this time?
Destined are we to resign?
Destined to fail or to win
or just to be tested to do it all again

I think we shall see in the year to come
That it’s just another year underneath the sun
We are just the sum of what came before
And from us will come until we are folklore

This year’s worth of fear is just merely
A fad, a fashion that’s disappearing
Like Y2K, ho hum, another day
Come 2013 it’ll have all gone away.
